I’m Sofia Clark, a graphic designer and co‑founder of SC Studios. My work is driven by a passion for visual storytelling and the way colour, form, and symbolism can shape meaning. I’m especially inspired by the relationship between design and the natural world, and how thoughtful visuals can communicate deeper ideas.
My creative path began unexpectedly while I was studying nursing at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology in 2022. During that time, I found myself drawn to sketching and creating small design projects for a friend who worked with 3D printing. That experience sparked a shift in direction, leading me to complete a Certificate in Art and Design, where I explored graphic design, drawing, fashion, and the wider creative industries.
In 2023, I began a Bachelor of Creative Industries and committed fully to developing my craft as a designer. I now specialise in branding, with a visual style that balances boldness with a sense of calm. One of my favourite projects involved creating typography inspired by the monarch butterfly, using its wing‑vein structures as pattern work. The project celebrated the species’ beauty while highlighting its endangered status, an example of how design can carry both aesthetic and environmental meaning.
As I continue to grow SC Studios, I’m focused on building strong, thoughtful brand identities and collaborating on projects that blend creativity with purpose.
